Jacques Fred Petrus
French West Indies record producer, author, publisher (Saint-Anne, Guadeloupe, Febr. 22, 1948 - ✝ Saint-Felix, Guadeloupe, June 8, 1987). Pioneer club-dj in the first 70s in Milan, Italy, he was the first to realize that the outstanding arrangements by the Italian musician Mauro Malavasi could have great success, if only finalized in the US. In Italy, at that time, there weren't any sound-engineers who could achieve to produce the right sound for the "disco". So 'Freddie' was an entrepreneur in all the senses, acting as a link between the Italian tunes and the "soul-disco sound" overseas, the first to create a bridge, a historical connection between Europe and America, that led to the creation of dozens of songs which became famous all over the world and many of which are still very much sought after. Mega producer and executive of Change, The Brooklyn, Bronx & Queens Band, High Fashion, Peter Jacques Band, Revanche, Macho, Caprice (14), Midnight Gang, Zinc (2), Anti-Rock, The Jumpers (3), Rudy (18), Silence (7) and one of The Ritchie Family's albums.
